Baby Grows Up With His 125-Pound Dog | The Dodo Soulmates
You can easily see this here: a dog that adores the kid, a kid who adores his dog, and a young woman who loves being a mother.
It’s nice to see someone actually doing it right when they have a child – the socialization/desensitization of the child with the dog – include the dog in the family. Hate it when people get rid of, or blame the dog when a child arrives and they “have to get rid of the dog”. Much respect!
I had an extremely aggressive rottweiler. When my son was born, we were so worried about him being around our newborn baby. Well as it turned out, our rottweiler acted as if his only purpose was too watch over and protect our son. Every picture and video we have of our son, has Max, our 130lb rottweiler in the picture. He spent every night, for the rest of his life, sleeping outside our son’s bedroom. When our son started school, he waited at the door for him to come home. It was so touching to see how this huge ferocious dog, turned into the most gentle and wonderful companion to a baby.
The fact Drax went even lower down when this kid was jumping up and down shows the way he was raised. These people are doing it absolutely right and it’s wholesome to see. Also the kid reaching for him when seeing Santa had me going awhh 😅
My pittie was the same way . I had him since high school, and when I grew up and had my first kid he would sit at my wife’s feet and make sure no one bothered her. Same when son was born, he’d lay by the car seat or crib and make sure nothing he didn’t know got too close. R.I.P. Max I couldn’t have asked for a better more loyal friend. See you on the other side.
Drax: “i am the sole protector of this family. no harm shall pass the front door”
also Drax: “OMG MOM ITS SANTA” I know others said it but I came here to say, this is the safest baby ever, 24 hour protective body guard, brother, best friend and great love in his life💜

Excellent job, Mom and Dad. I loved everything about this video. I have so much respect for parents that believe that dogs are family too, even when a baby comes, they made sure to include Drax and made their son’s life so much better because he has a furry brother that loves him unconditionally, and that’s all any of us want. 💜Awesome family!
PLEASE BE CAREFUL of these balls. I love how much your family loves him!!! Many dogs are getting these balls stuck in their airway and can’t breathe. YouTube it please anyone reading this…it takes a special ‘kinda’ Heimlich maneuver to get them out. Once I learned this I have been trying to share with the world!!! To save our family ❤❤
We had a 125lbs Rottweiler (Kupkake) when our first son was born. She would ALWAYS be near our son, no matter what and always on guard. She once went crazy barking at the sliding glass door because a squirrel came too close for comfort. She would always sleep outside his bedroom door. Both grew up so well together.
That was my childhood too, except our dog was a bull mastiff. I still feel love for that beautiful dog and I’m 69 now… We nearly lost her when she swallowed a ball that stuck in her throat. My dad rushed her by car to the vet, picking up a police escort on the way. The vet saved her by giving her a general anaesthetic and grabbing the ball when she relaxed before it slipped further down her throat. We were always careful after that to make sure she never had a ball that was small enough for her to swallow and I would warn you to take the same precautions with Drax. I hope you see this before YT deletes this post… YT and I don’t see eye to eye on certain things and now they delete all my posts.
